Configure a 1784-U2DHP driver for DH+ driver

The 1784-U2DHP driver transmits data to a device connected to the serial (com) port on your computer.
To configure a 1784-U2DHP driver for DH+ driver:
  1. From the list of all
    Comm Ports
available on the PC, select the assigned COM port for the 1784-U2DHP communications smart cable.
  2. Enter the Station Number for this device (this is the station number for this device on DH+). The default is 0.
    TIP:
The 1784-U2DHP can use any DH+ address from 0 to 77 octal. The first packet sent from RSLinx Classic to the 1784-U2DHP sets the DH+ address. The DH+ address is automatically set as the DF1 source address that RSLinx Classic places in that packet. The DH+ address is only set at the first time that RSLinx Classic communicates through the 1784-U2DHP following power up. Although you can start and stop this driver and specify a different DH+ address, those changes will not take effect until you cycle power to the 1784-U2DHP.
  3. When complete, click
    OK
    .
