Set up a DH+ to DH485 Pass Through via SLC 5/04

The SLC 5/04 can be used as a bridge from a serial DH+ network to a DH485 network like a 1785-KA5. Complete the following to set up this bridge for use with RSLinx Classic:
  1. In the SLC 5/04, set the Channel 0 – System to DH485 and assign a node address and baud rate.
  2. In the SLC 5/04, assign a unique Pass Through Link ID for Channel 0 and Channel 1.
  3. In RSLinx Classic, select
    Communications > Configure Drivers
    .
  4. Configure a DH+ driver and connect to the SLC 5/04.
  5. Open RSWho and browse the DH+ network. You can expand the SLC 5/04 node to view the remote DH485 network.
    TIP:
When navigating from a DH+ to a DH485 Pass Through via the SLC 5/04, you will not see nodes that do not support the DH+ Internet protocol (for example, SLC 500, SLC 5/01, SLC 5/02).
