Set up a DF1 Pass Through to DH+ via SLC 5/04 (OS 401)

The SLC 5/04 (OS 401) can be used as a bridge from a serial DF1 network to a DH+ network like a 1770 KF2. Complete the following to set up this bridge for use with RSLinx Classic:
  1. In the SLC 5/04, set the DF1 Pass Through enable bit (S:34/5).
  2. In RSLinx Classic, select
    Communications > Configure Drivers
    .
  3. In the Available Drivers list, select the
    RS-232 DF1 Devices
     driver and click
    Add New
    . Make sure configuration options match those of the 5/04 serial port. Also, set the device type to 1770-KF2/1785-KE.
  4. Open RSWho. The DH+ network of the SLC 5/04 should now be visible.
