Run the Backup/Restore utility

This utility allows you to backup and restore configured drivers, topology information, DDE/OPC topics, network shortcuts, CIP Options, Interchange port mappings, and associated registry entries.
TIP:
Topology information contains detailed device status and configuration information of each driver. This information is created on a per computer basis when browsing a network for devices.
If you have configured
RSLinx Classic
on one machine, you can backup and restore the same configuration, including Ethernet bus, to other machines without manually re-browsing the driver configuration.
IMPORTANT:
  • If you want to backup or restore the
    RSLinx Classic
configurations, you must have Windows administrator privileges on the computer. Otherwise, you cannot backup or restore the
    RSLinx Classic
    configurations.
  • Performing a backup of RSLinx Classic does not impact the runtime operations.
