DDE format

RSLinx Classic supports the following data formats for the transfer of data between programs:

CF_TEXT is a generic data transfer mechanism recognized by all Windows programs. All RSLinx Classic types except RSLinx Classic Lite support the CF_TEXT format.

XLTABLE is a format developed by Microsoft that results in performance increase over CF_TEXT. All RSLinx Classic types except RSLinx Classic Lite support the XLTABLE format.

FastDDE is a proprietary clipboard data format designed and is supported for compatibility with Wonderware products. RSLinx Classic Gateway supports the FastDDE format. RSLinx Classic Lite, RSLinx Classic Single Node, and RSLinx Classic OEM do not support FastDDE.

AdvanceDDE is a data format designed by Rockwell Software to facilitate the high-speed exchange of binary numeric data. All RSLinx Classic types except RSLinx Classic Lite support the AdvanceDDE format.
