Switch or add servers

You can switch to another FactoryTalk Updater Server to view and manage machines on that server or add a server to the server list.
When switching or adding a server, the FactoryTalk Updater Server verifies the credentials of the client machines.
  1. From the main menu, select
    Switch Server
     and perform one of the following actions:
    • From the list, select the server to which you want to switch.
    • Enter the name or IP address of the server to add.
  2. If prompted, enter the
    User Name
     and
    Password
     credentials for the Windows account of the machine where the server is located.
    The server requests credentials when the client and server are on different machines.
  3. Select
    OK
    .
    Updater automatically switches to the new server.
