Configure forward proxy

FactoryTalk Updater R4.10 creates a tool named UpdaterProxyUtility.exe to configure Forward Proxy Server for FactoryTalk Updater Server. It is installed in the same location as FactoryTalk Updater Server and requires administrator privileges to run.
  1. In the window, perform the following actions:
    1. Select the
      Use the forward proxy
      checkbox.
    2. In the field, enter the valid proxy server IP address and port.
  2. Update the settings in the FactoryTalk Updater Server
    Web.config
    file:
  3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Rockwell\Updater\Server and add a proxy node to the
    Web.config
    file.
  4. Change IIS Application Pool Identity user:
  5. To Open IIS (Internet Information Services), go to
    Start
    Control Panel
    Administrative Tools
    Internet Information Services
    .
  6. Select
    Computer Name
    Application Pools
    Updater
    .
  7. Right-click
    Updater
    , and then select
    Advanced Settings
    .
  8. Under
    Process Model
    , find
    Identity
    , and select .
  9. Change
    Identity
    from
    Built-in account
    to
    Custom account
    .
  10. Select
    Set…
    , and enter your Windows username and password.
  11. To save your changes and restart the operating system, select
    OK
    .
