Audit messages are not being logged

Possible cause and solution:
  • The system-wide audit policy
Audit changes to configuration and control system
policy is disabled. If the system policy is disabled, then FactoryTalk Diagnostics ignores audit messages generated by FactoryTalk components and FactoryTalk products and does not route them for logging even if logging destinations are configured for
    Audit messages
    on the
    Message Routing
    tab.
    Use
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    to enable the audit policy.
    1. In
      Explorer
      , expand
System > Policies > System Policies
      , and open
      Audit Policy
      .
    2. In
      Audit Policy Properties
      ,
Audit changes to configuration and control system
      , select
      Enabled
      .
  • Audit messages are not logged to the ODBC database destination, regardless of whether the
Audit changes to configuration and control system
policy is enabled or disabled. To log audit messages to a central database, you must use
    RSMACC
    or
    FactoryTalk AssetCentre
    software.
