Audit messages are not being logged
Possible cause and solution:
- The system-wide audit policyAudit changes to configuration and control systempolicy is disabled. If the system policy is disabled, then FactoryTalk Diagnostics ignores audit messages generated by FactoryTalk components and FactoryTalk products and does not route them for logging even if logging destinations are configured forAudit messageson theMessage Routingtab.UseFactoryTalk Administration Consoleto enable the audit policy.
- InExplorer, expandSystem > Policies > System Policies, and openAudit Policy.
- InAudit Policy Properties,Audit changes to configuration and control system, selectEnabled.
- Audit messages are not logged to the ODBC database destination, regardless of whether theAudit changes to configuration and control systempolicy is enabled or disabled. To log audit messages to a central database, you must useRSMACC™orFactoryTalk AssetCentresoftware.
