Create a certificate signing request

 OPC UA Connector supports creating a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to obtain a new certificate from an external signing authority as the Outgoing Certificate.
TIP:
Use
Manage Access
 to limit access to security certificate management operations to administrators or individuals. This function is only available to Administrator.

To create a certificate signing request

  1. In , select
    Certificate Management
    .
  2. On
    Certificate Management
    , select
    Outgoing Certificate
    , and then select
    Create CSR
    .
  3. In
    Create Certificate Signing Request
    , enter the information, and then select
    OK
    .
  4. Select a location to save the CSR file, and then select
    OK
    .
  5. Send the CSR file to an external signing authority for signing, and then assign the signed certificate to the OPC UA Connector on
    Outgoing Certificate
    .
    IMPORTANT:
    To ensure the automatic discovery of OPC UA servers functions properly, after the CSR file is signed and imported, import the root certificate to
    C:\ProgramData\OPC Foundation\UA\pki\trusted\cert
    .
