Alarm Status Explorer Configuration dialog box

How do I open the Alarm Status Explorer Configuration dialog box?
Use
FactoryTalk View Studio
at design time to configure the
Alarm Status Explorer
for use with the Alarm and Event Summary.
  1. Right-click the Alarm and Event Summary object and then click
    Properties
    .
  2. Click the
    Appearance
    tab.
  3. Under
    Toolbar
    , click the
    Browse
    button next to
    Configure Alarm Status Explorer
    .
Use the
Alarm Status Explorer Configuration
dialog box to configure the appearance of the Alarm Status Explorer when it is displayed from the Alarm and Event Summary.
The following table describes the settings available.
Setting
Description
Show area tree
Controls the display of alarm sources. Select this check box to display only the alarm sources contained in the area selected in the tree. To hide the area tree and always display all alarms in the application, clear this check box.
Root area
Defines the area shown at the top of the area tree in the
Alarm Status Explorer
. To choose the root area click the
Browse
button and then select an area.
You can only select areas for which you have security permissions. At runtime, the operator can only select areas within the root area.
Show enable and disable buttons
Controls whether the operator can enable or disable alarms from the
Alarm Status Explorer
at runtime. Select this check box to show the
Enable selected alarm source
button and
Disable selected alarm source
button in the toolbar.
Show unsuppress and suppress buttons
Controls whether the operator can unsuppress or suppress alarms from the
Alarm Status Explorer
at runtime. Select this check box to show the
Unsuppress selected alarm source
button and
Suppress selected alarm source
button in the toolbar.
Show unshelve and shelve buttons
Controls whether the operator can unshelve or shelve alarms from the
Alarm Status Explorer
at runtime. Select this check box to show the S
helve selected alarm
button and
Unshelve selected alarm
button in the toolbar.
Show details button
Controls whether the operator must use the right-click context menu to view details about the selected alarm in the
Alarm Status Explorer
window at runtime. Select this check box to show the
Show details for selected alarm
button in the toolbar.
Show help button
Controls whether the operator must use F1 to open online help at runtime. Select this check box to show the
Help
button in the toolbar.
Configure the splitter bar position
Controls whether the operator can drag the splitter bar between the area tree and alarm source list to the left or right to configure the position of the splitter bar at runtime.
Configure column widths
Controls whether the operator can drag the divider between column headings to the left or right to change the width of a column at runtime.
