Language switching in the Alarm and Event Log Viewer
You can use language switching to view user-defined text strings in multiple languages in FactoryTalk View SE Client applications. This includes Alarm and Event user-defined strings when an Alarm and Event object is part of the FactoryTalk View SE application.
Language switching is configured when you develop the application.
Refer to the FactoryTalk View Site Edition Help in FactoryTalk View Studio for detailed information about language switching.
Language switching at runtime
At runtime, FactoryTalk View SE Clients can switch between any of the languages the application supports. In a network station application or network distributed application, multiple clients can also run in different languages at the same time.
When the Alarm and Event Log Viewer is notified of a language switch, the user-defined strings appear in the specified language. If the language requested is not available at runtime, FactoryTalk View SE Clients show user-defined strings in the default language.
Starting from
FactoryTalk Alarms and Events
version 6.20, it's supported to log alarm messages in multiple languages to the alarm history database. The log languages are configured on the alarm server properties, where you can define the default log language or additional log languages. The Alarm and Event Log Viewer shows the user-defined strings in the current application language.Provide Feedback
