Create a deployment image

Create a deployment image to move configuration of data items and groups to another computer. A deployment image is an XML file containing the following
FactoryTalk Directory
 information:
  • Standard properties: name, description, objectID and ClassID
  • Custom properties: name, ADsType, value
    TIP:
    The XML file created with this command is identical to the one created using the Save As command.
To create a deployment image
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
     select
    File
    >
    Create Deployment Image
    .
  2. In
    Browse for Folder
    , choose the location to save the XML file to, and select
    OK
    .
    The file is saved as
    ~DAClient.xml
    .
    TIP:
    Future uses of this command overwrite this XML file.
