Invite users to an organization

An organization provides a space for users to interact with resources.
NOTE: See Organizations, domains Domains and subdomainsdomain subfolders for further information on this subject.
Once an organization has been created, users can be invited to your organization:
  1. In the FactoryTalk Hub, select the menu at the top left corner, then select
    Invite users
    . You will be redirected to the
    Invite users
     page.
  2. Expand the
    Resource
     pull down menu and select
    Service: FactoryTalk Remote Access
    .
  3. Expand the
    Role
    pull down menu and select the
    Admin
     role.
  4. In the text box, type the e-mail addresses of the people in your organization who will be administrators in FactoryTalk Remote Access domains.
    NOTE: Use a semicolon to separate entries in a list of email addresses.
  5. Expand the
    Role
    pull down menu and select
    Contributor
    .
  6. In the text box, type the e-mail addresses of the people in your organization who will be contributors in FactoryTalk Remote Access domains.
  7. Select
    Send Invite
     to send an e-mail invite to the specified user accounts.

Accept invitation

The owner of an organization may send invitations via e-mail to ask a user to join an existing organization. The recipient's e-mail address must be associated with a MyRockwell user account.
NOTE: If you do not have a MyRockwell Account, you can set it up before attempting to join the organization or during the join process. See Create an organization and a domain for further information on this subject.
The invitation e-mail includes:
  • The name of the domain owner who invited you to the organization.
  • The name of the organization you are joining.
To accept the invitation:
  1. Click the
    Join now
     button in the e-mail to connect to FactoryTalk Hub and sign in.
  2. An
    Invitation Accepted Successfully
     message displays.
  3. Select
    OK
    .
