Configuration Tab Overview
The
Configuration
tab provides for the setting of redundancy options as well as the module's internal clock. When you modify an option, the Apply button is enabled. The time and date settings for the event log work independently of the other options. Click on the Set button to commit changes made to the current date and time.Option | Description |
|---|---|
Auto-Synchronization | Controls the ability of a redundancy module pair to automatically initiate synchronization. Choose from:
|
Chassis ID | The chassis label is assigned to the redundancy module’s chassis. The generic labels, Chassis A and Chassis B are supported. When a change to the chassis label is applied to the primary redundancy module, the other chassis label is applied to the secondary redundancy module. This label then remains associated with the same physical chassis, regardless of its primary or secondary redundancy state. |
Enable User Program Control | Indicates the Redundancy Module's response to commands received from a Logix controller. Check this box to configure the redundancy module to accept all valid commands via an MSG instruction from a Logix controller. Uncheck this box to configure the redundancy module to reject all commands from a Logix controller. |
Enable Fiber Security | Enables or disables secure communication between two partner redundancy modules involved in redundancy. Tip :
|
CIP Serial Number | Displays the serial number of the redundancy module. This information is displayed here and on the Module Info tab as a convenience when setting the chassis label. |
Name | Name of the RM module. |
Description | Description of the RM module. |
Location | Location of the RM module. |
Redundancy Module Date and Time | Date and time controls allow you to view and change the current date and time stored in the redundancy module. Each event logged by the redundancy module records the current date and time the event occurred. You can view these events on the Event Log tab. |
Date Format | You can select the format of the date displayed in the event log to be one of the following: dd/mm/yyyy mm/dd/yyyy Note that the selected date format is preserved in the exported event logs. |
Apply Workstation Time | Click this button to use the date and time of the workstation. |
Reset to factory defaults | Restores all configurable settings on the redundancy module to their original factory
settings. Tip: This function is available only when the primary and secondary modules
are not paired and no qualification or update is in progress. |
