System Event History Tab Overview

The
System Event History
 tab displays a history list that contains entries that provide information on events that cause qualification, disqualification, switchover, and RM Fault in the Redundant Chassis Pair (RCP).
This tab provides the following functionalities:
  • Event History
  • Edit button
  • Accept Edit button
  • Cancel Edit button
  • Save System History button

Event History
This list displays ten most recent events
These attempts are labeled as follows:
  • N - the most recent event
  • N-1 - the second-most recent event
  • --
  • N-9 - the tenth most recent event
For each event, the
Initiation Time
,
Event Class
,
Basic Info
,
Extended Info-A
,
Extended Info-B
,
User Comments
are displayed.
Edit
Clicking this button initiates the process to edit user comments of the selected events.
Once an edit session for a particular event is in progress, the edit button is disabled.
Re-editing of previously saved user comments is permissible.
Accept Edit
Clicking this button saves the edited user comments in Redundancy Module volatile memory for the selected events.
Cancel Edit
Clicking this button cancels the edit session for user comments for the selected event.
Save System History
Clicking this button initiates the process to save the entire list of System Event History to Redundancy Module non volatile memory.
