Configuration Tab Overview

The Configuration tab provides for the setting of redundancy options as well as the module's internal clock. When you modify an option, the Apply button is enabled. The time and date settings for the event log work independently of the other options. Click on the Set button to commit changes made to the current date and time.
Option
Description
Auto-Synchronization
Controls the ability of a redundancy module pair to automatically initiate synchronization.
Choose from:
  • Always - auto-synchronization is always enabled
  • Never - auto-synchronization is always disabled
  • Conditional - auto-synchronization is enabled upon receipt of the Synchronize Secondary command and disabled upon receipt of the Disqualify Secondary command.
Chassis ID
The chassis label is assigned to the redundancy module’s chassis. The generic labels, Chassis A and Chassis B are supported. When a change to the chassis label is applied to the primary redundancy module, the other chassis label is applied to the secondary redundancy module. This label then remains associated with the same physical chassis, regardless of its primary or secondary redundancy state.
Enable User Program Control
Indicates the Redundancy Module's response to commands received from a Logix controller.
Check this box to configure the redundancy module to accept all valid commands via an MSG instruction from a Logix controller.
Uncheck this box to configure the redundancy module to reject all commands from a Logix controller.
Serial Number
Displays the serial number of the redundancy module. This information is displayed here and on the Module Info tab as a convenience when setting the chassis label.
Name

Redundancy Module Date and Time

Note that the selected date format is preserved in the exported event logs.
