Work with a CA certificate in a production system

For security considerations, it is imperative to replace the self-signed certificate on the Historian WebTrend server with a CA certificate in a production system.
To work with a CA certificate in a production system
  1. Go to the
    Start
     menu, enter
    IIS
    , and then open .
  2. Under
    Connections
    , expand the
    <computer name>
     >
    Sites
    , and then select
    FTHWebTrendSite
    .
  3. In the right pane, under
    Edit Site
    , select
    Bindings
    .
  4. In the dialog, select the self-signed certificate provided by the installer, and then select
    Edit
    .
  5. In the dialog, under
    SSL certificate
    , choose
    Select
    .
  6. In the dialog, select a CA certificate, and then select
    OK
    .
    TIP: The CA certificate must be the type of Server Authentication.
  7. In the dialog, select
    OK
    .
  8. In the dialog, select
    Close
    .
  9. Under
    Manage Website
    , select
    Restart
    .
