Activation
Description
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway OPC UA service obtains the activation from FactoryTalk Activation Manager. This value indicates the type and tag count of the FactoryTalk Linx Gateway activation that is in effect for the selected server.
Example of an Activation value: Network 500,000 (Grace Period: 6 days, 4hrs, 4mins)
- “Network”: indicates the activation type.
- “500,000”: indicates the maximum number of tags allowed under the current activation.
- “Grace Period: 6 days, 4hrs, 4mins”: The grace period is a seven-day free trial of FactoryTalk Linx Gateway, during which a user has the tag subscription capability equal to the "Professional" activation. In this case, after 6 days, 4 hours, and 4 minutes, the OPC UA clients cannot connect to FactoryTalk Linx Gateway.
