Authentication

Description
This value indicates whether to use a secured connection to the third-party MQTT broker.
You can configure the setting in
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
 Configuration > MQTT > MQTT Client > Security > SSL/TLS > User Authentication
.
  • If
    User Authentication
     is cleared, the value is “None”, indicating that the connection is made without user authentication.
  • If
    User Authentication
     is selected, the value corresponds to the username configured in
    User Authentication
    .

  • Type: String
  • Source: This value is generated by the
    FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
     MQTT service.
  • Updates: This value updates when the configuration changes in the MQTT client.
  • Reset: This value resets when you reset the service or restart the computer.
