How do I open the Channel0x Diagnostics dialog box?
  1. Diagnostics
    is disabled when:
    • You are operating offline.
    • An identity mismatch exists.
    In the
    Controller Organizer
    , expand the
    I/O Configuration
    folder, and double-click the module.
  2. In the
    Module Properties
    dialog box, expand
    Channels
    .
  3. Click a
    Ch0x
    , and then click
    Diagnostics
    .
The
Channel0x Diagnostics
dialog box includes these parameters:

Shows whether a fault is present on the module.

Shows the module is operating outside the designed operating range, or data is under manual or override control.

Shows whether field power is present on the channel.

Shows whether a short circuit or over-current fault (greater current at an output than the maximum current level the channel can handle) is present on the channel.

Shows whether a no load fault (a signal wire is disconnected from the output or the RTB is removed from the module) is present on the channel.

Shows whether an open wire fault (an output wire is disconnected) is present on the channel.

Fault Timestamp (Short Circuit, No Load, Open Wire, Over Temperature Last Fault)
Shows the timestamp of the fault in YYYY-MM-DD-HH:mm:SS.mmm format.
  • YYYY = year
  • MM = month
  • DD = day
  • HH = hour (24 hour)
  • mm = minutes
  • SS = seconds
  • mmm = milliseconds
A valid time or
None
if there is no recorded event time.
Module Over Temperature Fault
Shows whether the module is operating at a higher temperature than its operating limits.
