Configure Logix SIS Requirements
To configure the primary controller for Logix SIS, the following settings are required:
- Enable the controller for redundancy.
- Enable the controller for safety.
- Enter safety task parameter requirements as described in Safety Task Requirements.
When the controller is enabled for both redundancy and safety, the safety level displays the following static value:
SIL3/PLe when synchronized or disqualified within MRT; SIL2/PLd when disqualified
IMPORTANT:
When the controller is configured for Logix SIS, the SafetySILConfiguration attribute always shows a SIL 3 value even if your system functions at a SIL 2 level.
