Configure PPTC instructions

Use the
Advanced
tab of the
PPTC Properties
dialog box to configure the Pressure/Temperature Compensated Flow (PPTC) instruction.
To configure PPTC instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Open the
    Advanced
    tab.
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Flow below which to report zero flow
. If Out_Flow is less than this cutoff value, 0.0 appears.
    • Reference (full-scale) differential pressure
. Reference (full-scale) differential pressure (for example, WC).
    • Reference flow in volumetric units at reference DP
. Reference flow in volumetric units (for example, CFM) at reference differential pressure (DP).
    • Zero input-unit pressure in absolute unit
. Zero input-units pressure in absolute units (for example, PSIA).
    • Zero input-unit temperature in absolute unit
. Zero input-units temperature in absolute units (for example, R or K).
    • Standard pressure
. Standard pressure in Inp_PAct units (for example, PSIG).
    • Standard temperature
. Standard temperature in Inp_TAct units (for example, F or C).
    • Flow calculation method
      . 1 = Use Inp_DPAct (square root curve) to calculate flow; 0 = Use Inp_FAct (linear).
  4. Select
    Apply
    .
