Controller Properties dialog box - Port Configuration tab parameters
The following table lists the parameters on the
Port Configuration
tab.
The ability to change the settings on this tab can be controlled by
FactoryTalk Security
permissions.Parameter | Description |
Port | The name of the port as it appears on the controller. |
Enable | Indicates that the port is enabled. If cleared, the port is disabled.
TIP:
This parameter may not be available depending upon the version of the Logix designer application and the controllers that version supports. |
Link Status | The status of the port communication on the network. |
Auto-Negotiate | Indicates that the controller automatically selects the best method for communication. If cleared, the port speed and duplex must be set manually. |
Selected Speed | The configured port speed for sending and receiving data. Available options are controller dependent. The setting is unavailable if the Auto-Negotiate check box is selected. |
Current Speed | The actual speed at which the port is currently sending and receiving data. |
Selected Duplex | The configured port duplex setting, which controls whether data is sent and received in one direction at a time (half), or is sent and received simultaneously in both directions (full). Available options are controller dependent. The setting is unavailable if the Auto-Negotiate check box is selected. |
Current Duplex | The actual duplex method that the port is currently using to send and receive data. |
Port Diagnostics (...) | Opens the Port Diagnostics dialog box, where you can view the interface and media counters for the port. |
