Set the help page source

To select the source of help content that appears in the Logix Designer application, configure the
Help page source
 setting on the Workstation Options dialog. You can choose to display the latest help files from rockwellautomation.com or the help files locally installed on the hard drive on the computer running the Logix Designer application.
To set the Help page source
  1. On the main menu, select
    Tools > Options
    .
  2. For
    Help page source
    , select one of these options:
    • Always ask
      . When you first select
      Help
       in the Logix Designer application, a dialog asks whether to display locally installed help files or files on rockwellautomation.com. This is the default setting.
    • Local
      . Displays help files installed on the hard drive of the computer running the Logix Designer application.
    • Online
      . Displays the latest help content from rockwellautomation.com.
NOTE: You cannot set the source of help content for the New Project dialog, which appears when you select
File > New
. For this dialog, the Logix Designer application always displays help content locally installed on the hard drive.
