A company’s future viability is increasingly dependent on how successfully it implements Industry 4.0 concepts and digitalises its industrial processes. From 1st to 5th April at the Hannover Messe, Rockwell Automation will be showing companies how they can shorten their digital transformation journey and quickly increase their competitive advantage.

The combination of modern development tools, intelligent machines and advanced technologies enables companies to generate meaningful industrial data and analyse it in a purposeful way. This enables manufacturers and machine builders to achieve their goals significantly faster.

Rockwell Automation will be presenting a range of innovative solutions on the stands of its partners PTC, Microsoft and Cisco as well as ODVA. The Cisco stand will showcase joint security solutions; security is a vital element of achieving the productivity gains promised by Industry 4.0. The Microsoft stand will showcase machine learning, augmented reality (AR), digital instructions and manufacturing execution systems (MES), all connected securely through the cloud. The PTC stand is showcasing the recently-launched FactoryTalk InnovationSuite powered by PTC for improved interconnectivity of production systems. The ODVA booth is showcasing CIP security with a recent enhancement to the EtherNet/IP specification to prevent a “man in the middle” attack from having an impact on the operation of a machine or facility.

The Rockwell Automation technologies and services in these solutions are not restricted to control systems and drive controllers, but also include intelligent devices, advanced software and the integration of virtual reality and augmented reality into industrial manufacturing.

“On their journey to becoming a digital enterprise, companies need to take multiple requirements into account that a single provider can’t meet alone,” says Lars Eyckmann, Regional Manager, Information Software EMEA at Rockwell Automation. “These gaps can be closed with strategic partnerships that provide benefits for end customers by delivering a combination of core competences. Together with our partners, we’ll be demonstrating at the Hannover Messe how we can help customers resolve the challenges of digitalisation and optimise their industrial processes.”
