Star Topology

A star network topology is a traditional

EtherNet/IP™

network that includes multiple devices that are connected to each other via an Ethernet switch. The controller can operate in Linear/DLR or Dual-IP mode when it is connected to a star network topology.

If the controller operates in Dual-IP mode, the Ethernet ports have unique IP configurations and must be connected to different subnets.
