Component Name Collision Dialog - Property Compare Tab Overview

Use the collision dialog box to find differences between the imported component and the existing component.
A message is displayed at the top of the dialog indicating whether or not there are differences in the property values. Where property values are different, the name of the property is displayed in bold print and the row is highlighted.
Properties are displayed in the import columns and provide additional information about the component.
TIP:
If you use this dialog box to compare the differences between new and existing Add-On Instructions:
  • An attribute list compares the existing Add-On Instruction to the one being imported for easy comparison. The attribute list is read-only.
  • For attributes that are different, the attribute name appears bold and the attribute row appears highlighted.
Parameters
The parameters listed will vary depending on the type of components you are comparing.
Name
Displays the name of the property.
Long property names are truncated with an ellipsis. Hover the cursor over the cell to display a tool tip of the entire contents of a given field.
You can select individual rows to highlight them to aid with readability.
Import Component
Displays the property values of the import component.
Also displays rollup differences between the existing and imported component, such as number of new, deleted, or modified elements, or whether the logic or structures are different.

You can select individual rows to highlight them to aid with readability.
Existing Component
Displays the property values of the existing component.
Current Operation
Displays the current operation selected for the component, as displayed in the Details pane.

Overwrite
Click this button to set the operation for the component to overwrite.
Note that clicking Overwrite closes the dialog box.
Overwrite appears dimmed when overwriting the component is not a valid operation for the component.
Use Existing
Click this button to set the operation for the component to use existing and to close the dialog box.
Use Existing appears dimmed when using the existing component is not a valid operation for the component.
Close
Click this button to close the Collision dialog box without making any change to the currently selected operation.
