Diagnostics Viewer does not display new messages
Possible cause and solution:
- The Diagnostics Viewer is open.When the Diagnostics Viewer window is open, new messages do not appear automatically. To refresh the view and reload messages, press theF5key or select the Refresh button.
- Log file has reached its maximum file sizeIf the Local Log has been set todo not overwrite events, when the maximum file size is reached, new messages routed to the log are discarded.To resolve this situation, run theDiagnostics Setupeditor and clear the log file manually.
- From theFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleToolsmenu, chooseFactoryTalk Diagnostics > Setup.
- In the left pane of the Diagnostics Setup window, selectDestination Setup, and then selectLocal Log.
- In theLocal Log Destination Setupdialog box, selectClear Log.
- Local Log destination path has been changed from the default location of\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile.If the default destination for theLocal Log Logging pathhas been changed, reboot the computer so that the new file location is used.
