- InFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleExplorer, right-click an OPC UA Connector, and then selectProperties.
- InFactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector, selectOPC UA Servers.
- OnOPC UA Servers, select a server, and then select
next to
Endpoint URL.
Use

to browse the network and select a server to add to a FactoryTalk Linx

UA Connector.
TIP:
For an OPC UA Server endpoint to be discovered when browsing the network, the OPC Foundation Local Discovery service (opcualds.exe) must be running on the server and the associated port must be opened on the firewall. Alternatively, manually enter the endpoint URL as provided by the OPC UA Server management software.

Local | Lists OPC UA Servers running on the local machine. |
Remote | Lists OPC UA Servers discovered by browsing the local subnet. |
Custom Discovery | Lists OPC UA Servers discovered by custom network paths. |
Add Server | Specifies the network path or IP address to an OPC UA Server. The path must be in the format opc.tcp://hostname_or_ip:port/Path/To/Server where hostname_or_ip , port , and /Path/To/Server are replaced with the OPC UA Server settings. If no port is specified, the FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector will attempt to connect to port 4880.The firewall on the OPC UA Server must allow incoming connections to the selected port for the connection to succeed. |
