Device Statistics

How do I open the Device Statistics dialog box?
Right-click a device in
FactoryTalk Linx
 Browser
 and select
Device Statistics
.
The
Device Statistics
 dialog box includes four tabs to help diagnose a device. They are Port, Connection Manager, USB, and Backplane.
TIP:
  • This option appears dimmed if the user has no permission in
    FactoryTalk Security
     to access the device statistics or if the advanced option has disabled it.
  • Users need to set permission in
    Feature Security Properties
     >
    Policy Settings
     >
    Open Device Statistics
    .
The button/option is only available when:
  • The device supports this function
  • Advanced Settings
     >
    Enable Device Statistics
     is selected.
    TIP:
    Users need to set permission in
    Feature Security Properties
     >
    Policy Settings
     >
    Modify Browser Settings
     to access to
    Advanced Settings
    .
  • The user is permitted access through
    FactoryTalk Security
    .
The four tabs are not available in
FactoryTalk Linx
 Network Browser for all devices.
TIP:
To display the device icon correctly, make sure that the corresponding device description file is installed.
