Redundancy Module Configuration Tool is a separately installed tool opened within the

FactoryTalk Linx

Network Browser to permit online operations and configuration of a

ControlLogix

redundancy modules.

FactoryTalk Linx

Redundancy Module Configuration Tool uses FactoryTalk audit logging and creates audit messages for each action performed on the redundancy module. In addition, it shows the current chassis label, redundancy status, and chassis platform configuration in the lower-left corner of the dialog and updates the status every two seconds.

Redundancy Module Configuration Tool version 9.01.01 is installed along with

FactoryTalk Linx

version 6.21.00 or later by default. You can also get the tool from the Product Compatibility and Download Center. It is compatible with

FactoryTalk Linx

version 6.21.00 or later and supports 1756-RM2 modules with firmware version 20.010 or later.

FactoryTalk Linx

Redundancy Module Configuration Tool version 10.01.00 can be obtained from Product Compatibility and Download Center. It is compatible with FactoryTalk Linx version 6.60.00 and supports the 1756-RM2 modules, like the version 9.01.01, but adds support for 1756-RM3 modules.

You can configure FactoryTalk Security to grant

Open Device Configuration

to access FactoryTalk Linx Redundancy Module Configuration Tool. Otherwise,

FactoryTalk Linx

Network Browser will not allow the tool to open.

To open the tool, locate a 1756-RM2 redundancy module in the

FactoryTalk Linx

Network Browser topology view, right-click the module, and then select

Device Configuration

. If version 10.00.00 of the tool is installed, you can also locate a 1756-RM3 redundancy module in the topology view and perform the same actions.
