Shows the server name

. This name cannot be changed after the server is created and cannot include dashes or hyphens (–).

Enter a description for the

FactoryTalk Linx

server. For example, use this box to describe a component's location, to identify a contact person or number in the event of failure, or to keep track of changes or version information.

For local applications, this field shows the name

localhost

as the computer hosting the

FactoryTalk Linx

server. This indicates that the

FactoryTalk Linx

server will execute on the local machine. Because you are configuring a local application, this property cannot be changed.

For network applications, this field shows the computer name of the local machine. If you do not want the

FactoryTalk Linx

server hosted on the local machine, enter a different computer name, or
