View diagnostic information about alarms and events

To view messages logged to the Local Log, open the
FactoryTalk Diagnostics
 Viewer on the computer where the alarm server resides.
You can open the Diagnostics Viewer in either of these ways:
  • From either the
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
     or
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    Tools
     menu, click
    FactoryTalk Diagnostics
     >
    Viewer
    .
  • In Windows, click
    Start
     >
    All Programs
     >
    Rockwell Software
     >
    FactoryTalk
     Tools
     >
    Diagnostics Viewer
    .
