You can use language switching to view user-defined text strings in multiple languages in
FactoryTalk View
SE client applications. This includes the Alarm and Event Summary when an Alarm and Event Summary object is part of the FactoryTalk View
SE application.Language switching is configured when you develop the application.
Refer to the
FactoryTalk View
Site Edition Help in FactoryTalk View Studio
for detailed information about language switching.Language switching at runtime
At runtime,
FactoryTalk View
SE Clients can switch between any of the languages the application supports. In a network station application or network distributed application, multiple clients can also run in different languages at the same time. When the Alarm and Event Summary is notified of a language switch, the contents of the Alarm and Event Summary will show in the specified language. If the language requested is not available at runtime,
FactoryTalk View
SE Clients use the default language.
IMPORTANT:
- The time and date formats do not switch. The Alarm and Event objects inFactoryTalk Viewalways show the date/time format of the operating system.
- Alarm Fault List messages do not currently switch languages.
