Stop reading events from the database

When the Alarm and Event Log Viewer requests alarm and event information from the alarm history database, the database query runs until all the alarm and event information matching the filter criteria is returned.
Once the query is stopped the following occurs:
  • No further records are read from the alarm history database.
  • The alarm and event information returned prior to stopping the database query is displayed in the event list.
Once a database query completes or is manually stopped, the alarm and event information displayed in the event list is not updated until you click the
Refresh
button or select a new filter from the
Filter List
box.
To stop reading alarm and event information
  • In the Alarm and Event Log Viewer toolbar, click the
    Stop
    toolbar_StopDatabaseQuery button.
