From the Windows Start
menu, select All programs > Rockwell Software > Device Description File Installation Tool
.

The Device Description File Installation Tool allows you to change the hardware description information currently installed on your computer.

Use Device Description File Installation Tool to register device description files for unrecognized devices.

Starting from

FactoryTalk Linx

version 6.40.00, the EDS Hardware Installation Tool is renamed to Device Description File Installation Tool.
