Status icons

The data item is active, and the data item receives updated values automatically as they change at the data server. This is referred to as a subscription value, and is shown in the

Sub Value

column. Changes are displayed at the

Update Rate

for the group.

The data item is inactive. Obtain an updated value for the data item by reading the value of the data item manually, either synchronously or asynchronously. Asynchronous reads return the value at the data server's discretion. Continue reading other values while the

FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client

waits to receive the requested value. The value of a data item requested manually is shown in the

Current Value

column.

The group of data items is inactive. Obtain updated values for data items in the group by selecting them and then reading the value of the data items manually.
