Read data from devices

Read data from devices to show data item values directly from devices instead of the local cache.
IMPORTANT:
Device Read cannot be set for a specific data item or group; the setting affects all data shown in the
FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
. Device Read is the default setting.
To read data from devices
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
    , select any data item.
  2. Select
    Data
     >
    Device Read
    .
