Remove and Install the Protective Guard for
Frame 7L

You must remove the protective guard to access certain components in the enclosure. Follow these steps to remove and install the protective guard.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. Open the enclosure door.
  4. If a door-mounted HIM is installed, cut the cable tie (A) that secures the HIM communication cable to the guard.
  5. Loosen the 16 M5.5 x 13 mm Torx screws that secure the guard to the enclosure and remove the guard. It is not necessary to remove the screws.

  6. IMPORTANT: Be sure to secure the HIM cable to the guard with a new cable tie.
  7. Install the protective guard in the reverse order of removal.
