Remove and Install the LCL Filter Capacitor for Frame 6L
Replace an LCL filter capacitor with kit catalog number SK-RM-LCLCP4-F6L.
Follow these steps to remove the LCL filter capacitor.
- Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
- Remove power from the system.
- Remove the four M5 x 12 mm slotted-Torx screws that secure the top cover to the lower chassis and remove the cover.
- Remove the four M5 x 12 mm slotted-Torx screws that secure the capacitor assembly to the chassis.
- Cut the two cable ties (A) that secure the capacitor to the bracket and discard the cable ties.
- Remove the three M8 hexagonal nuts that secure the capacitor wires to terminals R, S, and T at the top of the capacitor and remove the wires.
- Remove the capacitor and support bracket assembly from the drive.
- Insert the stud on new capacitor into the hole in the support bracket and secure the capacitor to the bracket by using an M12 hexagonal nut.
- Insert the cable ties into the notches in the chassis mounting plate. Do not tighten the cable ties.
- Align and tighten the three M8 hexagonal nuts that secure the capacitor wires to terminals R, S, and T at the top of the capacitor assembly.
- Place the capacitor assembly into the cable ties in the chassis and align and tighten the four M5 x 12 mm slotted-Torx screws that secure the capacitor assembly to the chassis.
- By tightening the cable ties (A), secure the capacitor to the mounting plate.
