Renewal Kits for PowerFlex 755T Products with Corrosive Gas Protection (XT)

All
PowerFlex®
755T product renewal kits with corrosive gas protection (XT) meet the corrosive atmosphere specification as defined by Rockwell Automation. For details on the corrosive atmosphere specification, see the
PowerFlex®
750-Series Products with
TotalFORCE®
Control Technical Data, publication 750-TD100.
The
PowerFlex®
755T product renewal kits that are listed in this table do not meet the corrosive atmosphere specification. Do not install these renewal kits in a
PowerFlex®
755T product with XT (catalog numbers 20GE and 20JE) that is installed in a corrosive environment. The renewal kit catalog number and series are contained on the kit package label and/or nameplate.

Protective Packaging for Renewal Kits with XT

Renewal kits with XT are shipped in packaging that is designed to protect products while stored at industrial sites that can be exposed to corrosive gas. Do not remove packaging or protective film from a renewal kit while it is in storage.

Protective Covers on Kits with XT

Some renewal kits with XT use protective covers to seal wire harness connectors, circuit board connectors, terminal blocks, and fiber-optic transceivers and ports. The covers protect against contamination and corrosion in corrosive gas environments. For the product to meet the corrosive atmosphere rating, protective covers must remain installed in unused connectors during storage and operation. For kits with protective covers:
  • Do not remove a protective cover from an unused connection or a kit in storage.
  • Remove a protective cover when a connection must be made at installation only.
IMPORTANT: Retain protective covers for power and LCL filter modules for reuse. Install protective covers on connectors when a module is removed and stored.
In each applicable chapter of this manual '(XT)' appears in the description column of the Renewal Kits tables to identify a kit that contains protective covers.
This figure provides examples of protective covers for components with XT.
