Remove and Install the Power Structure Fan Assembly - Frame 6L

Replace a power structure fan assembly with kit catalog number SK-RM-PSFAN1-F6L. Follow these steps to remove and install the power structure fan assembly.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. IMPORTANT: The fan assembly power wire harness is connected inside the chassis. You cannot remove the fan assembly until you disconnect the fan power wire harness.
  4. Loosen the two M4 captive, Phillips screws that secure the fan assembly to the chassis and pull the fan assembly away from the chassis to expose the fan power wire harness connector.
  5. Reach into the chassis and disconnect connector P42 from J42 and remove the fan assembly.

  6. Install the power structure fan assembly in the reverse order of removal.
