Remove and Install the Filter Section Fan Assembly - Frame 6L

Replace a filter section fan assembly with kit catalog number SK-RM-FSFAN1-F6L. Follow these steps to remove and install the filter section fan assembly.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. IMPORTANT: The fan assembly power wire harness is connected inside the chassis. You cannot remove the fan assembly until you disconnect the fan power wire harness.
  4. Loosen the four M4 captive, Phillips screws that secure the fan assembly to the chassis and pull the fan assembly away from the chassis to expose the fan power wire harness connector.
  5. Reach into the chassis and disconnect connector P43 from J43 and remove the fan assembly.

  6. Install the filter fan section assembly in the reverse order of removal.
