Online edits let you modify a running system without interrupting production, but you must execute them carefully to maintain stability and integrity. Use Partial Import Online (PIO) to update specific components selectively, and plan these changes to avoid unintended impacts on critical logic. Validate and document all test edits before deployment to confirm they meet functional and safety requirements. When you combine multiple edits, assemble them cautiously to prevent conflicts or unexpected behavior, so that all modifications work together seamlessly in the live system.
