Driver and Path Configuration dialog settings
Use the
Logix Designer
application Driver and Path
Configuration
dialog to manually enter a communications driver path for a driver that
is already created. See Enter a communications driver and path manually.
TIP:
- Create Ethernet drivers in theLogix DesignerapplicationNetwork Browserdialog orFactoryTalk LinxNetwork Browser dialog.
- Create ControlNet and DH+ drivers in theFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleforFactoryTalk Linx.
Following are the
Driver and Path Configuration
dialog settings:Setting | Description |

Driver | Used to select from the list of running drivers in the FactoryTalk
Linx communication software. |
Path | Enter the CIP path to a controller that Logix Designer uses when executing a Go
Online , Upload , or Download command. The path also writes to
any project.
TIP:
For
ControlNet and DH+ , construct the path starting from the
communications module in the local chassis. Separate the number or addresses
entered in each step with a comma. All numbers are decimal, by default. Enter any
number other than an Ethernet/IP address in another base by using an IEC-1131
prefix ("8#" for octal, "16#" for hexadecimal). Ethernet/IP
addresses are always dot-separated decimal numbers. |
Recent | Navigates to the Select Recent Communications Path dialog, and select a
recent saved path as the current communications path. |
