Set up data logging (Tags In Model tab)

On the
Tags In Model
 tab, identify which tags the model will log data for. The maximum number of tags that can be logged is 100 tags. You cannot log data for string tags, array tags, parameters, or expressions, and you cannot use tag placeholders in your data log model.
Options
  • Tags to add
    Type the names of the tags the data log model will monitor. Separate multiple tag names with a space.
    • Tag browse button (...)
      Click this button to open the Tag Browser. Tags that you select in the Tag Browser are entered in the
      Tags to add
      box when you click
      OK

      TIP:
      In the
      Data Log Models
       editor, you can select multiple tags at once.
      Data log models do not accept shortcut names that contain spaces. Ensure that a device shortcut is a single word without spaces, for example, NEW_SHORTCUT.
To select multiple tags for a data log model in the Tag Browser
  1. Navigate to the relevant folder in the hierarchy on the left and then click it to open it.
  2. In the list of tags in the right-hand pane, click a tag to select it. To select another tag, hold down the
    Ctrl
    key as you click the mouse.
  3. Click beside any selected tag.
  4. Click
    OK

  • Tags in model
    This box shows the tags that have been added to the model so far.
    • Add
      Click this button to add the tags listed in the
      Tags to add
      box.
    • Remove
      Highlight a tag in the Tags in model box, and then click this button to remove a tag.
    • Remove All
      Click this button to remove all tags from the model.
      TIP:
      Applications with a very large number of data points in the data log model, at or close to the maximum, will take longer to close than applications with a smaller number of data points.
