(optional) Add a FactoryTalk Historian Asset Framework server to a FactoryTalk Directory

For
FactoryTalk® View Site Edition (SE)
 to access Asset Framework server data, add the
FactoryTalk Historian
 Asset Framework server to a
FactoryTalk Directory
.
To add the
FactoryTalk Historian
 Asset Framework server to a
FactoryTalk Directory
  1. In the
    Explorer
     tree, expand
    System
     >
    Connections
     >
    Historian Data
    .
  2. Right-click
    Asset Framework
     and select
    New Historian AF Server Connection
    .
  3. In the
    New Historian AF Server Connection
     dialog, select the
    FactoryTalk Historian
     Asset Framwork server name from the
    Asset Framework server name
     list, and then select
    Test AF server connection
    .
    • If the connection is successful, the "AF server found" message appears.
    • If the connection is not successful, the "No AF server found" message appears. In such a case, check the status of your Asset Framework in System Explorer.
  4. Select
    Create
    .
