Diagnose a problem with a counter

Diagnose these counter problems from
Counter0x
:
  • Whether a fault exists.
  • Whether the device is operating outside the intended operating range, on manual control, or on override control.
  • Whether a frequency over range fault exists. This fault indicates the counter frequency exceeded the device’s maximum rated frequency, and therefore is not tracking the signal properly.
  • Number of times a quadrature counter entered the fault state.
To diagnose a problem with a counter
  1. On the tab for the device, expand
    Counters
    , and then select an individual counter.
  2. In the
    Counter0x
    view, select
    Diagnostics
    .
  3. In
    Counter0x Diagnostics
    , view the diagnostics for the counter.
