Overview view

The 5069-SERIAL device provides communication connections to serial devices. It has two channels that are independent of each other. In the
Device definition
 dialog box, use the
Overview
 view to configure device definition properties and to specify the protocol for each channel.
TIP:
If the channel is not used, set
Channel
X
 to
Disabled
. If
Channel
X
 is set to
Modbus Master
 or
Modbus Slave
, use the
Channel
X
 views in
Device definition
 to set up the Modbus Master and Modbus Slave.
