view to define the data received from the serial device.
Use the
Channel

- Generic ASCII Receive
view to:
  • Select the swapping mode for data received from the serial port.
  • Select the handshake mode used to pass received data from the serial port to the controller.
  • Enter the message receive timeout value.
  • Specify the pad character used to fill the receive buffer when it is not full.
  • Select the start and termination mode.
  • Specify the start and termination delimiters.
  • Enable or disable the XON/XOFF flow control.
  • Determine whether
    Echo Mode
    is enabled or disabled.
  • Enter the maximum buffer length.
  • Select the delete mode.
  • Open the diagnostic dialog box to diagnose a communication problem with the Generic ASCII Receive /Transmit communication.
